About Art Stands
Art Stands are designated booths for amateur and professional artists to promote and sell their original artwork at our convention. What is being sold at an art stand can vary; art prints, keychains, plushies, jewellery, clothing, 3D-printed objects, and much more!

Your responsibilities:
We require the stand to be staffed during the entire opening hours each day.
You will gain access to the venue for rigging from 9am on Saturday June 22.nd.
The stand is expected to be finished by 11am the same day.
Magicon is not accountable for any theft from your stand, but will work with you in any incident that occur.
If your application is accepted:
You will be required to pay for the Art Stand ticket to the bank account provided in the confirmation email within the deadline: 18.th February 2024.
Failing to do so will immediately free up your spot to be given to the next in line.
Cancellation:
After payment is confirmed, we will not reimburse you if you cancel. The only exception to this is if we’re able to replace your stand in time for the convention.
NEW! Chose location for your stand:
This year, the rooms on the second floor are open to use, and parts of it will be for Art Stands.
In the form, you have to specify if you’d like to be placed in Betong (basement) or on the second floor, or even better, if you don’t mind either.
Betong: There’s a stage here, where there’ll be panels etc. Its pretty dark, so lighting is required. Can get a little noisy due to the concrete walls and happy visitors combo. Due to the vicinity to the two stages nearby, there’ll likely be higher traffic of visitors here than on the second floor.
2.nd Floor (Biblioteket): Has daylight. No stage nearby, so quieter. Slightly warmer, due to large windows. Lots of causal activities going on in the area. Will feel like a more traditional “Art Stand” area.
Helper/Partner rules:
If you select an Art Stand ticket with a helper, you can only have 1 person as your helper/partner and can not change who it is between the days. Our ticketing system can not handle the logistics around this.
The person you choose as helper/partner must be confirmed by end of day 31.st of May 2024.
How we select artists:
Magicon heavily relies on our values in every decision we make. The ones that relate to choosing artists are: Professionalism, Inclusion and Innovation. Keep this in mind when telling us about yourself in the “Why we should choose you” section of this form.
“Pimp your stand” competition:
As always we encourage everyone to do their very best at making their stand look as awesome as possible. To encourage this, each year we select a winner of the best looking stand. The winner gets a free Art Stand ticket for the next Magicon. Congratulations to Remi who won at Magicon Elevation.
Venue/Season specific:
Due to the “Concert arena” design of the area of the art stands in Betong, we recommend bringing some kind of lighting for your stand. It may be fairly dark during some periods of the day. We ask that you choose directed lighting, so it does not blind the attendees or in any other way disturbs other activities in the room.
In general, also keep in mind that it’ll be hot, so feel free to bring fans.
