MagicOn Idol Stage, Start!
Imagine you’re on stage. Light is shining on you so brightly in your eyes, you can’t even see the audience. But you know their support, as an ocean of light sticks joins along the beat of your song. Looking over your shoulder, your group mates are ready in their position. It’s showtime!
Now is your chance to make your dream come true! Magicon would like to give you the opportunity to show off your idol spirit, whether it’s in a big group or as a solo act.

What type of performances qualify for the show?
The idol genre is predominantly defined by Japanese pop music and adjacent genres, featuring idol singers and performers. We welcome all of you who want to perform under the idol genre, including solo performers and groups. This also extends to Japanese music that generally has an idol aspect to it, without necessarily being J-pop (Example: Babymetal, Vocaloid, other sub-genres etc.)
Our equipment supports both live singing and lip syncing, and it is up to you how you combine song and dance. When applying, please leave a sufficiently detailed list of tech-requirements (mics, video/picture requirements etc) for our technicians so that we may ensure the best possible on-stage experience for you. Who can perform?
Our goal is to include as many acts as possible, and give the idol fans a chance to perform on a proper stage, as opportunities in Norway have been limited for the past few years. Should our roster become fully booked, we will perform an evaluation of all applicants and select our performers based on novelty and diversity. We wish for as many as possible to join us, but be mindful that we only have a set amount of spots for performers. This means it`s one song per group. Therefore it will be your responsibility to apply as soon as possible, to ensure your spot in our setlist.
Please keep in mind that all group members must be at least 13 years of age.
As this is our second time hosting an idol show, we are encouraging everyone who is tempted to join! It will be fun, and we`ll take care of each other if nerves arise!
